Is the Inter-American Children’s Institute’s official website on participation. It emerged as an online area where organized children and representatives of the various States can engage in discussion and be consulted about subjects they are interested in.
Participation:
Children and adolescents are rights-holders, and thus, they are bearers of rights and duties. By making recommendations to State, Society and Family, they are exercising rights such as: participation, opinion, freedom of expression, citizenship, etc., and are raising their voices with regard to issues that interest them.
The IIN has carried out a survey of the recommendations made by children and teenagers since the First Pan American Child Forum, held in Lima, Peru, in 2009, on various issues that have an impact on the rights of children and adolescents in the Americas.
