Lic. Alejandro Bonasso, Director General of the IIN, together with Julio Rosenblatt, Coordinator of the PIINFA, went on a mission to Brazil, where they held meetings with Julio Héctor Marin, Head of Cabinet for the Ministry of Justice’s Secretariat of Human Rights, with Mario Mamede, Assistant Secretary of Human Rights, and with Denise Paiva, Head of the Departamento da Criança e do Adolescente of  the Secretariat of State on Human Rights , besides having held  meetings with other persons. It was agreed that a National Centre for Information on Childhood and Family operating for all of Brazil was to be created, as part of the Inter-American Information Network.

The "Suprema Corte de Justicia" of Dominican Republic and the Inter-American Children´s Institute signed a Cooperation Agreement that among others involves the installation of an Information Center
