What
does the Geneva NGO Group for the Convention on the Rights of the Child
consist of? The
Geneva NGO Group for the CRC consists of a network formed by several
organizations. They have in common their concern about the promotion,
monitoring and enforcement of the CRC. This group was created in 1983 as
the “NGO Informal Ad-Hoc Group for the CRC Drafting”. Its members
cooperated in the CRC drafting. Once the CRC was adopted by the United
Nations General Assembly, the NGO Group decided to continue acting on its
monitoring and enforcement.
