Test regarding the application of the
Tool to the collection and analysis of information
For this test in particular, we will focus on Points 3, 4 and 5 of the Methodology that has
been suggested (Collection of information (information and its sources) and
Elaboration and analysis of the information)
First Work Proposal:
1.
Suggesting 3 situations in which there is a VIOLATION of the
Convention on the Rights of the Child and 3 situations in which there is
COMPLIANCE with this same Convention:
-
Which is the right to which the situation that has been
identified mostly relates?
-
Are there any indicators described together with that Right
which can measure the situation that has been identified?
Second
Work Proposal:
1.
Going over the information included in the tool; each group
must choose 3 Rights in particular, which will be subsequently analyzed.
2.
For each of the Rights that have been
chosen, the activity that is suggested involves analyzing the feasibility of
the information-collection process with regard to the corresponding Right,
and in connection with the tool (Support for the Monitoring of Rights) that is
presented for the preparation of the report. The proposal involves following
the next guidelines in the case of each of the Rights that have been chosen:
a. Analyzing
the information included in the description of the Right and
determine the following facts, according to the country’s reality:
-
Which part of the information is missing?
-
Which part of the information is superfluous?
(IMPORTANT:
it is necessary to bear in mind the fact that the intention is to deal with the
minimum group of indicators (feasible and sustainable, as far as their
collection is concerned) that may account for the current situation regarding a
specific Right in a particular country)
Estimated time: 1 hour 30 minutes
Time: 2.30 PM
Plenary: One delegate per group presents the
conclusions drawn during each of the Activities that were suggested
