ELECTION OF THE MEMBERS OF THE EXECUTIVE
COMMITTEE
THE DIRECTING COUNCIL,
CONSIDERING:
That Article 20 in the Statute and Article 2 in the Rules of Procedure on the
election of the Authorities of the Directing Council and the IIN Office
establishes that every two years the Council will appoint among its members an
Executive Committee consisting of five delegates who should be elected by the
majority of Member states;
That the Directing Council has customarily elected the five members of the
Executive Committee on the basis of a regional geographic distribution;
That the Delegates of the respective sub-regions informed the Plenary that they
had reached a consensus to nominate the following member states as members of
the Executive Committee: Peru (Andean Region), Paraguay (South Cone), Honduras
(Central America), Trinidad and Tobago (English Speaking Caribbean) and Canada
(North America).
RESOLVES:
To appoint Peru (Andean Region), Paraguay (South Cone), Honduras (Central
America), Trinidad and Tobago (English Speaking Caribbean) and Canada (North
America) as members of the Executive Committee of the Directing Council for the
2004-2006 period.
