THE DIRECTING COUNCIL,

CONSIDERING:

That Article 20 in the Statute and Article 2 in the Rules of Procedure on the election of the Authorities of the Directing Council and the IIN Office establishes that every two years the Council will appoint its President among its members, who should be elected by the majority of Member states;

That the Government of the Republic of Mexico nominated his current Delegate, Ms. Ana Teresa Aranda Orozco;

That 19 Member states were present at the time of the election.

RESOLVES:

To appoint the Delegate of the Republic of Mexico, Ms. Ana Teresa Aranda Orozco, unanimously and by acclamation as the President of the Directing Council for the 2004-2006 term of office.
