APPROVAL OF THE ANNUAL REPORT OF THE IIN
TO THE THIRTY-FIFTH REGULAR SESSION OF THE
OAS GENERAL ASSEMBLY, 2005
THE DIRECTING COUNCIL,
HAVING SEEN:
The Annual Report of activities submitted by the Office of the Director General
of the IIN (CD/doc.08/04).
CONSIDERING: That the Report of the Office of the Director General relates to
the degree of compliance with the 2000-2004 Strategic Plan and emphasizes its
outcome;
That through the IIN Programs, the Director General has maintained a balance in
the activities performed in each geographic region, taking into consideration a
wide range of issues that have been assigned priority in the hemispheric agenda
within the framework of the basic rights of children and the family, in an
action that is consistent with the various mandates issued by both the General
Assembly and the Directing Council to include children and the family in such
agenda;
That the Thirty-fifth Regular Session of the General Assembly will be held in
the United States of America, and on such occasion the Director General will be
able to submit his Annual Report at the Plenary Session of the General
Assembly.
RESOLVES: 1. To approve in the Plenary Session of the Directing Council the
Annual Report submitted by the Office of the Director General and to
congratulate the IIN Office for the work accomplished during this period.
2. To entrust the Director General to take into account the observations and
recommendations of the Directing Council at the time of preparing the Annual
working Plan of the Institute for the next year.
