THE DIRECTING COUNCIL,

CONSIDERING:

That the Statutes of the Inter-American Children’s Institute provide that the Directing Council will meet every year on an alternate basis, at the headquarters of the Institute in the city of Montevideo and a city in any of the member states as decided by the Directing Council;

That the Directing Council has previously decided to carry out an Special Meeting of the Directing Council in Brasilia, Brazil, in April 2005, instead in Montevideo as the Statutes provides;

That the Government of Honduras has offered to host the 80th Regular Meeting of the Directing Council in the city of Tegucigalpa,

RESOLVES:

To thank the Government of Mexico for its hospitality and kind attention as the host country of the 79th Regular Meeting of the Inter-American Children’s Institute.

To designate the city of Tegucigalpa as the place where the 80th Regular Meeting of the Directing Council will be held in October 2005.
