THE DIRECTING COUNCIL,

HAVING SEEN:

That the Nineteenth Pan American Child Congress will be held on 27-29 October, 2004 in Mexico City, with the Inter-American Children’s Institute acting as its Executive Secretariat;

That this Pan American Congress will adopt as its main theme “The Family: Basis for the Integral Development of Children and Adolescents”;

CONSIDERING:

That Resolution AG/RES. 2031 (XXXIV - O/04) convened all the OAS member states, institutions and key people who advocate and promote the rights of children and the family to attend the Nineteenth Pan American Child Congress;

That Article 19 in the Rules of Procedure of the Nineteenth Pan American Child Congress establishes that the Directing Council should define the deadline for the submission of draft resolutions or any other draft or proposal as deemed suitable;

RESOLVES:

The Delegations may submit their draft resolutions to the Congress Secretariat as per the following detail:

Sub-themes 1 and 2: until 04:00 PM of 27 October, 2004.
Sub-themes 3 and 4: until 04:00 PM of 28 October, 2004.
Sub-themes 5 and 6: until 08:00 AM of 29 October, 2004.

The Delegations may submit to the Congress Secretariat their draft resolutions or any other proposal as deemed suitable until 08:00 AM of 29 October, 2004.
