Related Tools of Technical Cooperation 

Cooperation in the area of children and adolescents requires training of the people involved such as Professionals, Planners, and Political Decision Makers, Managers and Leaders of Programs. PRODER offers the following training tools that help to strengthen policies, plans and programs directed at the comprehensive protection of children and adolescents. 

1) Strategic Planning and Institutional Strengthening - 20 hours on site

   2) Introduction to Public Policies within the context of a National System of Comprehensive
        Protection of Children
- 10 hours on site

3) Public Policies for the Prevention of Drug Abuse in Children and Adolescents -  20 hours on site

4) Street Children and Human Rights -  10 hours on site

   7) Training Workshop for Professional, Educators and Leaders of Preventive and Participatory
        Educational Programs on Alcohol and Drug Abuse

Academic Programs 

The integration of an academic component to the different IIN programs in post-grade curricula is another key element of the Strategic Plan 2000-2004 

PRODER presently offers a Specialization Diploma on Drug Addiction with 25 academic credits as part of a Plan of Seminars on site and via Internet on specific complementary studies that include research, field work and a final paper.  

This Specialization Diploma is presently being offered in Uruguay and in Bolivia jointly with the University of the Republic and the Mayor University of San Simón. Professionals of a specialized NGO of Uruguay that has signed an Agreement of Cooperation with the IIN for this purpose, participate in both cases. 

2003 Seminars to be offered at the headquarters of the IIN as part of the Specialization Diploma in Drug Addiction.
