The Embassy of the United States of America in Uruguay and Inter-American Children’s Institute sign an Agreement to develop a Project on Traffic in Children, Child Pornography on the Internet, and normative frameworks aimed at the MERCOSUR region, Bolivia and Chile.


From January 26 to January 30 2004, the Coordinator of the Program for the Integral Promotion of Children’s Rights Ariel Gustavo Forselledo, and the Coordinator of the Inter-American Children’s Institute’s Legal Program Piero Solari, carried out a negotiation mission aimed at the Ministry for Women and Social Development (MIMDES)



The Members of the Committee on the Rights of the Child of Geneva , met at the BID's Headquarters on December 15th 2003 with the attendance of the IIN's Director General, Lic. Alejandro Bonasso and the BID's President, Cr. Enrique Iglesias.
    
   


The Workshop on Systematization of the Reports to the Committee on the Rights of the Child took place in December 9-10, 2003 at Lima, Peru and with the attendance of several countries. 

   


Lic. Alejandro Bonasso, IIN's Director General and Eng. Julio Rosenblatt, PIINFA's Coordinator visited the headquarters of UNA's Information Center, on december 4th., 2003. Afterwards, Lic. Bonasso addressed a conference on the subject: "The Children, their rights and obligations".   


   

Parallel to the holding of the II Training Workshop: Site for the Coordination of Actions in favor of Children and Adolescents, Eng. Julio Rosenblatt, addressed a conference to the PANI's members of Costa Rica, about the implementation of SIPI, Millennium version.  
   


The II Training Workshop: Site for the Coordination of Actions in favor of children and adolescents took place in San José, Costa Rica, on December 3-5, 2003, with the attendance of the following 8 countries: El Salvador, Guatemala and Nicaragua (participants of the Site´s Pilot Test); Belize, Costa Rica, Honduras, Panama and Dominican Republic.
