 APPROVAL OF THE REPORT OF THE OFFICER IN CHARGE OF THE OFFICE OF
THE INTER-AMERICAN CHILDREN’S INSTITUTE

THE DIRECTING COUNCIL,

HAVING SEEN:

The Report submitted by the Officer in Charge of the Office of the Inter-American Children’s Institute (IIN) to the 80th Regular Meeting of the Directing Council;

CONSIDERING:

  1. That the Report of the Officer in Charge of the Office of the IIN refers to the transition period starting when the term of office of Alejandro Bonasso as Director General was over in May 2005;

  2. That the IIN Office maximized its efforts to achieve the continuity of institutional operations related to both technical cooperation and all aspects concerning the implementation of statutory and regulatory mechanisms for the election of a new Director General;

RESOLVES:

  1. To approve the Report submitted by the Officer in Charge of the Office of the IIN and to congratulate both him and the IIN staff for the work accomplished during this special institutional transition period.

  2. To submit the Report to the Permanent Council of the OAS for the relevant purposes.
