CREATION OF FORA FOR EXPERIENCE-SHARING ON THE FUNDING OF CHILD PUBLIC POLICIES AND INSTITUTIONAL PROGRAMS IN THE OAS MEMBER STATES

THE DIRECTING COUNCIL,

 

CONSIDERING:   

 

1.   The diversity of funding sources and mechanisms for child-care public policies and institutional programs in the OAS Member countries;

 

2.   The lack of financial resources that has an impact on the design, implementation and evaluation of public policies and institutional programs on child-related issues in the OAS Member states;

 

3.   The need to emphasize the importance of sharing the funding experience for child-care public policies and institutional programs developed by some OAS Member states, the terms, potential and outcome of which may serve as a benchmark for promoting in other Member states management proceedings addressed to the funding of their own public policies and institutional programs;

 

 

RESOLVES:  

 

1.   To request the Office of the Director General of the IIN to promote and organize the creation of fora for fostering the dialogue and exchange of experience on the funding of child-care public policies and institutional programs in the OAS Member states.

 

2.   The IIN will provide for the methodology and instruments required for the systematization of the above mentioned activities.
